On the morning of July 11, 2022, a strategic cooperation symposium jointly organized by EMS of Wuhan University and Wuhan Branch of Chinese Minsheng Bank was successfully held in the third conference room of EMS. The visiting leaders of Minsheng Bank include Yang Yi, the assistant President of Minsheng Bank Wuhan Branch; Liu Yu, the general Manager of Human Resources Department; Peng Jun, the general Manager of Corporate Business Department, and Li Danjie, the general Manager of Investment Banking Department and so on. Song Min, who is the dean of EMS; Xie Yawei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee; Yu Zhen, deputy dean; Fan Ruguo, dean of the Department of Technology Economics and Innovation Management, Wang Xuejun, Gao Hua, Li Changjun and other teachers from the Department of Technology and Economics, and Zhou Lichao, the director of the Graduate Work Office all attended the symposium. The meeting was chaired by Professor Fan Ruguo, the head of the Department of Technology and Economics.

  At the beginning of the meeting, Song Min firstly delivered a speech and expressed his welcome. Song Min reviewed the origins of Wuhan University and Minsheng Bank, expressed full confidence in the development of Minsheng Bank, and looked forward to the in-depth cooperation between the two parties in various aspects in the future. Song Min expressed that he hoped that the two sides can conduct in-depth exchanges and cooperation in future student internships and employment, personalized development of training courses, and dual-carbon finance so that complementary resources, mutual benefit and win-win results, and produce more influential results would be achieved.

  Then, Yang Yi, the assistant president of Wuhan Branch, gave a detailed introduction to the development history, organizational structure, business scope and characteristic financial products of Minsheng Bank Wuhan Branch. He said that Wuhan Branch attaches great importance to the strategic cooperation with EMS of Wuhan University, and is willing to establish a comprehensive and high-quality intern base to provide a training platform for young students to realize their personal and work value. At the same time, Wuhan Branch also hoped to establish more extensive and in-depth cooperation with Wuhan University in the fields of education, training and green finance.

  Subsequently, Xie Yawei, the deputy secretary of EMS, Yu Zhen, the deputy dean, and Fan Ruguo, the director of the Department of Technology and Economics, gave detailed introductions on postgraduate internship employment, corporate curriculum training, and carbon finance research. Liu Yu, the general manager of Human Resources Department of Wuhan Branch of Minsheng Bank, Peng Jun, the general manager of Corporate Business Department, and Li Danjie, the general manager of Investment Banking Department, respectively introduced the current situation, demand and future development direction of human resources management of Wuhan Branch, and related company businesses such as carbon neutrality, according to which both sides conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges. Finally, the two parties reached a cooperation intention on the construction of intern bases, corporate education and training and scientific research, and would sign a strategic cooperation agreement to establish, consolidate and develop a long-term, stable and mutually beneficial cooperative relationship between the two parties.

  This symposium, combined with new tasks and new requirements in the new era, provided good supports for the comprehensive promotion and implementation of bank-school cooperation.
