Recently,Professor Guo Xibaofrom EMS won the8^th "Zhang Peigang excellent achievement award of development economics" in 2020 for his paper "Long-term Multidimensional Poverty, Inequality and Poverty Causing Factors".Professor Guo Xibao also became the second scholar in EMS to win this award after Mr. Tan Chongtai. (Tang Chongtai won the second Zhang Peigang excellent achievement award of development economics" for his work "development economics")

"Zhang Peigang excellent achievement award of development economics" was initiated and organized by the Zhang Peigang Development Economics Research Foundation. It was carried out for the first time in 2006.The award is open to domestic and overseas and is selected once every two years.Each selection has no more than 6 results.It has held eight times so far.The award aims to recognize scholars who have made outstanding contributions to development economics and related research,promote the prosperity of economic research,and promote China's economic development.
