On March 10, 2022, the 2022 Scientific Research Conference of the College was held. Jiang Xingli, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Li Qingyuan, Vice President of the College, and other staffs of Scientific Research Office and Discipline Construction attended the conference. The conference which was presided over by Peng Qiong, Director of the Office of Scientific Research.

First of all, Li Qingyuan introduced the main regulations of the school which the scientific research management work is based, hoped that the teachers could strictly implement the regulations in daily academic exchanges and the use of scientific research funds. Li Qingyuan analyzed the data changes of papers and works, application and approval of the three national fund projects, application achievements and academic exchange activities of the EMS in 2021, and analyzed the reasons for the fluctuation of scientific research achievements of the school from the data. Then, he arranged the scientific research tasks and work measures of the School in 2022, the application of scientific research projects, evaluation and award of achievements, revision of evaluation and management methods of scientific research institutions, and organization of academic activities.

Afterwards, Professor Huang Minxue talked about the initiative to plan, targeted organization of scientific research force, the establishment of scientific research team, and strive to achieve significant research results; He also discussed ideas on how to make good use of senior professors and young teachers. Professor Zhang Tianding talked about his own understanding from the aspects of the quality of the early research papers, which are the important factors for the approval of the three national projects. Professor Wei Lijia believes that the university should give more space, more time and more attention to the growth of young teachers in order to facilitate the growth of young scholars. Professor Luo Zhi suggested that teachers from different specialty should cooperate with each others in scientific research, teaching, social service, collaboration. And said that in 2022 the department of economics will continue to obtain more academic resources, and rehire the qualified retired old professor to help young people grow faster. The directors of each department had a deep discussion on database construction, research and teaching software, research environment construction, etc.

Finally, Jiang Xingli said research work is the important foundation of the construction of high level research institute after listening to the teachers’ opinion and the suggestion. The influence factors of scientific research are various, including whether have academic masters and young talents, the construction of academic atmosphere, the academic team's stability and structure is reasonable etc,. She believed that scientific research and teaching are the foundation of teachers, and academic research ability is more important. The college can make continuous efforts to benefit both teachers and students by strengthening scientific research planning, team building, young academic tutor system and pursuing first-class academic standards. She pointed out that the School of Economics and Management has its own development advantages, but also has its own development problems. We can integrate academic resources, reform the scientific research evaluation mechanism, give full play to the advantages of the school of economics and management, and do better in scientific research and discipline work.
