Word-of-Mouth (WOM) has become a primary source of employer information. Thus, there is an urgent need to better understand how organizations can best capitalize on such information to build employer brands and attract potential talent. To contribute to current knowledge in this area, I investigate how WOM content in terms of valence and image type influences the evaluation of potential employers. Findings from two experimental studies are discussed in terms of their implications for managing employer image and branding.
口碑(Word-of-Mouth)已经成为雇主信息的主要来源。因此,迫切需要更好地了解组织如何最好地利用这些信息来建立雇主品牌并吸引潜在人才。为了对这一领域的现有知识有所贡献,本研究基于两个实验研究的结果,调查了在效价(valence)和形象(image)类型方面的口碑内容如何影响潜在雇主的评估。
讲座人简介:
Kang Yang Trevor Yu,现任新加坡南洋理工大学(Nanyang Technological University)领导、管理与组织系副教授、南洋理工大学学习研究与发展中心(CRADLE)联合主任。在北卡罗来纳大学(University of North Carolina)获得组织行为学博士学位,主要研究领域包括雇主品牌、人才管理等。相关研究成果发表在《Journal of Applied Psychology》《Human Resource Management》《Personnel Psychology》《Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes》《Human Resource Management Review》等国际知名学术期刊。此外,他还参与编辑《the Oxford Handbook of Recruitment》。目前担任《Journal of Applied Psychology》《Human Resource Management》《Human Resource Management Review》《Group and Organization Management》等期刊委员会编辑。
